Helping Asians Help Themselves
Nanay Linda.. ( Mother Lynn), everybody called her mother, for she is a mother of 16 children, including Lisa being the firstborn- our GD Day Care teacher/ ALS Student at the same time.
Nanay Linda is one of our beneficiary of soap-making livelihood, and just last week has also enrolled in our ALS (Alternative Learning System) Elementary level;
She told our teacher(s); Lisa (her daugthter) and Abegail, how she is very eager to read and write at the age of 50.
Summer is coming , young people and children are free, It’s when often temptation comes for young people, that’s why we always prepare a busy schedule for them. And one of our yearly activity is our Summer Musical and instrumental Workshop.
We send our trained young people to 4 different areas, and teach children and Juniors. Jason can play violin, organ and guitar ( 3rd year education student), While Liezl ( 2nd year Tourism student—School band Member) plays, violin, flute, recorder, sax, and clarinet.
Our Orchestra can help our children in the community and they could even one day help their family earn some money whenever they can play in some occasions on celebration like birthdays and weddings.
Beth started her vermi-cullture 2 months ago, from just ½ kilo in her backyard, I and my wife came to visit her just some few meters away from ours, our purpose is to buy some 2 kilo from it, to put in additional bed were making in preparation for our Goducate farm.
