Tien Wah Press, one of the largest printers of high quality books in the world, has decided to adopt Goducate as their corporate social responsibility project.
I was invited to share about Goducate’s work to 50 of their staff earlier this week at a lunch time talk. From the response to the talk, it was evident that the staff were enthusiastic to be a part of Goducate’s work in helping needy Asians help themselves.
Shortly after that talk, the management met and decided to support us as part of their corporate social responsibility program. I was pleasantly surprised to see how quickly such a large corporation made that decision. Then I received an email to inform me that they would be challenging their staff to collect text books, stationery and clothes for our poor kids in Sabah. And then yesterday the Financial Director met me to discuss dates for a visit to Sabah next month.
It is exciting to see how this corporation is actively pursuing its corporate social responsibilities and mobilizing its staff to volunteer their services right where they are. We can help needy Asians to help themselves right where we are!
